^^^^^DAY SIX of P.T.T.W.9^^^^ reporter.win1040/?page_id=3081 #GUINEA, WEST AFRICA #Pray4Guinea Although there is religious freedom in predominantly Muslim Guinea, it is one of the least evangelized nations in Sub-Saharan Africa. According to SIM, “Fears of reprisal and rejection hold Muslims back from public commitments to Christ. Relationships are the key to evangelism in this culture.” Poverty, very hot temperatures, and distance from conveniences make ministry difficult. Ask the Lord to send more workers to this hot, poverty-stricken nation. Pray that the spirit of fear would not hold Guineans back from believing in Jesus Christ. Pray for the establishment of a strong Christian Church in Guinea (The Bible, Matthew 16:18). #THAILAND, SOUTHEAST ASIA #Pray4Thailand In protest of the military coup, many Thais are voicing their dissatisfaction peaceably by reading in public. According to The Christian Science Monitor, “Thais are gathering in small groups in public places like sidewalks, train stations, and parks to silently read in an act of quiet defiance. The books they’re reading convey their protest: books about totalitarian states, real or fictional, like George Orwell’s ‘1984.’” One activist remarked, “People are angry about this coup, but they can’t express it. So we were looking for an alternative way to resist, a way that is not confrontational. And one of those ways is reading.” Pray for peace and restoration in Thailand. Pray for an end to the military coup and its totalitarian regime. Ask God to protect His Thai children from violence and harm during this time of unrest (The Bible, Psalm 91:1-2).
