DAY6 OF GRATITUDE; The overall essence of life is SERVICE which finds expression in CAREER.I got my MBBS after a decade instead of 6years but it gave me an opportunity to choose a life calling;PSYCHIATRY.In the pursuit of this career that naturally taps into my person;i have had to expand my scope in its pursuit which has made me search for additional knowledge in Theology,Social work,Anthropology and Postgraduate diploma in education with the compelling purpose of ensuring that fewer persons break down mentally and those who do can have a better life.I have found a nexus between my spiritual calling and a secular Career which makes the experience exciting.This has made me discover hidden gifts of writing,public speaking and leadership.My PUNCH Column every Thursday has wonderful feed-backs of impacting positively on the mental health of the people.I have authored a book;Eternal life;healing for our greed and another is in press;The renewed mind;Triumph over mediocrity.A publishing house is actually planning to put my over 80 articles in punch in a book form.LIFECARETRUSTINITIATIVE is my registered NGO specifically devoted to mental health issues across lifespan which is a lifetime platform to express my spiritual mandate in this field.I am the current president of a national group for mental health advocacy for the stakeholders especially patients and caregivers.I thank God for guiding me into PSYCHIATRY and for empowering me to pursue my career according to his mandate.The picture is getting clearer by the day and i am certain that it can only get better.So i thank God for my career choice, the guidance and the opportunities so far which gives me inner sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.
