DC Ganderbal reviews arrangements for celebration of Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr GANDERBAL, AUGUST 03: The Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal convened a meeting of different officers to review the arrangements being made for the celebrations of Shab-e-Qadr and Eid-ul-Fitr. Officers from different deptts like Revenue, UDD, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, CAPD, Transport, Food Safety and representativesfrom Traders Union Ganderbal and Transport Agencies alsoparticipated in the meeting. Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal directed Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Ganderbal to maintain cleanliness in and around the Eidgahs, mosques and markets in the district besides making functional the defunct street lights from Duderhama to Beehama. Deputy Commissioner also informed the traders union that dust bins shall be provided to the shopkeepers so that they maintain cleanliness in and around their shops. Electric Department was directed to maintain uninterrupted power supply on Shab-e-Qadr. Market checking squads headed byTehsildarswere directed to intensify market checking. They were also advised to take along representativesfrom the Traders Union during market checking. It was also decided that any person having any complaint regarding therates and quality of items beingsold in the market can contact Assistant Director CAPD Ganderbal during office hours on the contact number9419182181, Tehsildar Kangan 9858066606, Tehsildar Ganderbal 9419013788 and Tehsildar Lar 8803403461. The Deputy Commissioner directedthe Tehsildars to liaise with the civil society and ensure that their problems are redressed.
