DC Kulgam finalize Muharram arrangements KULGAM, OCTOBER 30: With a view to finalize Muharram arrangements, Deputy Commissioner Jahangir Mir today held a meeting with representatives of Shia community from villages of Shahoo Sachen and Executive Engineers of PDD, PHE, R&B, ACD and Tehsildar concerned. The Deputy Commissioner released Rs.10.00 lace to complete the ongoing works within the villages of Shahoo Sachan for smooth conduct of the Muharram besides providing other facilities to the people attending Muharram procession. The Executive Officer, Municipal Committee, Devsar was directed to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of the said villages, while as Assistant Director CA&PD was directed to ensure adequate supplies of ration and other commodities in the said villages. The Deputy Commissioner asked the Superintendent of Police to make all necessary arrangements regarding security at Imambadas and procession routes.
