DCRTV Advertiser Profile: 99 Plus In Spirit Of HFS - 3/28 - 99 Plus, KFMH, was originally on the air from 1973 to 1994. It was one of the first progressive rock-freeform radio stations in the country, says owner Steve Bridges. It is very similar to the glory days of the DC areas legendary WHFS. We play a wide variety of rock, blues, and jazz and most of it isnt being played on the radio. We play classic deep tracks, but also new stuff everyday, says Bridges. KCJJ in Coralville, Iowa, which carries DC radio greats Mike OMeara and Robb Spewak, signed it back on as a non-profit radio station in March 2013 - 19 years to the hour it signed off the air. We even have our original deejays, Bridges adds. Tom Maicke does mornings, Jim Albracht middays, Jim Hunter afternoons, and Roberto nights. Mary Of The Heartland and Captain Steve handle weekends. OMeara is the voice of the station. 99 Plus, KFMH, is available on the TuneIn app, Ustream.tv, Sonos, and at 99pluskfmh.....
