DD had her last soccer class this evening and they handed out - TopicsExpress

DD had her last soccer class this evening and they handed out certificates and suckers. I rushed over to DD, who is 3, and whispered, Be sure to ask them if its peanut-free. But well still have to check the label. She called out loudly, IS IT PEANUT-FREE?? The other parents laughed and repeated it, because, haha. The coaches nodded and smiled, but I told her, Well still have to check the label and call to make sure. If not, well have another treat. She took her sucker and handed it to me. I said, Theres no label, so we cant eat it. She was totally fine with it. Afterward, a grandpa came up to me and asked (in a nice way) why I wouldnt let her have a sucker, when it didnt have peanuts. He explained his grandson has a peanut allergy, too (he is 2). I gave him a crash micro-course on cross-contact and shared facilities. His eyes were totally opened. Educating the masses, one grandpa at a time....
