DE Rock ... THE FAMILY WE MISS YOU. .... Words alone cant express how much the game will miss you. I met this young and vibrant guy five years ago. He has passion for the Nigerian football game, he was so much in Love with the Nigerian Leagues. He follows the Women League so much, we tag him the Husband of the Ladies because he serves the show all bit from the Women League. FRIENDHSHIP: Our first meeting was at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, we all came to cover an NNL game. We design a radio show together and I introduce the group to him. I could recalled we all spoke after the game and left Surulere at night. It was a great conversation with many of us willing to contribute to the development of the League coverage. He was an Admin, and he worked hard to feed us with Exclusive news, Live scores and facts. We always respect him for his facts, he keeps record, he has the most correct log table of all the Leagues. Many times he corrected the League organiser when they error. This is a guy that runs his blog and website with his hard earned money from his private work, he was just passionate, he decided to make a change with the help of social media and push the League product world wide also on radio. He was my partner at Top Radio, he sit beside me every weekend inside the studio. He add momentum on the show, we formed a bond among the crew. DE ROCK has contributed to the game, he motivated many young guys behind, he gave platform to revive the passion for the game. Oh! My God Peter is gone. We cant argued on issues in the studio, he will always disagree with me. He loves Kano Pillars, we always enjoy his segment with Olawale Quadry, he made the show great and storng. He made this group a source to reckon with, he was just excellent. SWAN CUP: He was my partner in defense of the team for the last two editions. I could recalled how will shouted at ourselves when TVC scored us and the team got knocked out. He promised this year edition, Top Radio will be crown champions. Oh! my world he wont be part of the team physically, but I believe his spirit will be around to support us. I type all this and weep, I cry like a kid and I asked God why this young man? Why a member of this great family? Why DE ROCK? Heavy for the heart to accept. Looks like a dream, I thought I will wake up today and Rock will call me he is still alive. We spoke last week Sunday, I never knew that will be the last. He couldn’t make the 4th season of the show, he wont contribute anymore on the group. #Sad.
