Along the way he keeps being turned down by all the animals he meets and he speaks of feeling upset with the way everyone is treating him and the things they say about him. Eventually he finds a friend. It is a great story to share with kids to teach them about the values of people and how you cant judge what is on the outside, but that you really need to get to know someone and learn what they are like before you go saying things about him.
