DEAR GRANDPA You are too old that’s for sure, I wonder how much you had to endure. From the weak infant you once was, To the wise man I now know and love. Why is it that sometimes you choose to be silent? When it feels like your wisdom is needed. I never find you in arguments. How do you afford that kind of patience? When everything is falling to pieces, You stick to your word and wishes. What you predict happens, You have solutions to every problem. But why do you hold back at times? You let us learn from our mistakes, Your arms wide open when we come crying. How come you never shed a tear? Why do you choose to walk away sometimes? But all seems to work for your good, That’s why I’ll always sit beside you. While I look up and pray to thee, That some day I’ll be as wise as you.
