DECISIONS, DECISIONS I remember making the decision to set up - TopicsExpress

DECISIONS, DECISIONS I remember making the decision to set up in business for myself. I had all (or most) of the skills necessary, I had a bit of money at my back and I had a saleable product (me). That decision carried risk. It meant I wasnt going to have someone else responsible for paying me a wage. It meant that I would have to work hard to make a success of it. In my head was the thought that if I didnt do it now then when? All my ducks were in a row, it was now or never. I did it. That was many years ago and I remember to this day the first big contract that I won. I was elated. I didnt realise it then but in the months and years that followed, I would make that big contract look pretty small. As we approach the final days before the referendum, many people who are risk averse will cling to what theyve known in the past. I assure you that before setting up my business a part of me clung to my job, a job that wasnt paying me very much at all. I want you all to realise that the life you have known up until this time has been diminished by Westminster. Call it bad management if you like but I think most people realise it goes much further than that if you look at whats going on right now. The UK Govt are trying to make it seem as if theres only a few drops of oil left which will be the seed corn for an independent Scotland to do wonderful things. I have a laugh each day as I see pictures posted by Buster in his little flying machine, posting picture after picture of the massive build up in the Shetlands to extract more oil from the Atlantic margin than has ever been extracted from the North Sea up until this point in time. Do the UK Govt not see the joke? The choice as to whether you should vote yes or no is similar to the choice I made all those years ago. As a nation, an independent Scotland has all the talents and skills and very clever people who have great ideas. It has fantastic wealth which, at the moment is taken away by the UK treasury never to be seen again and it has some of the most saleable products on the planet. Ready to go Scotland? Lets do it...lets vote yes. Kindest regards, David Milligan Lvss
