DEER, preditores, coyotes and wolves . If you dont live in woods or near a woods , you are blinded by the harsh reality a winter brings. I see everyday up here off ridge road. In the old apple orchards , Farmers fields The herd of deer. They love laying under the huge scotch pines , digging for fermented apples. Its kind of like there sanctuary . unfortunately this extremely long winter I dont like what i witness each day. And hear early mornings , dusk,and middle of nights. As bad as it is with the extra deep snow, wind chills below zero for months ,and struggling to find a morsel of food. These beautiful deer get chased all hours from coyotes as will as Wolves. Yes I said wolves! The howling ,yepping. and screaming. I hear it from different directions . Believe me. ( I was raised on a big farm,with lots of woods around me . Married Bill Nyman, lived here 47 years near woods.) I know when there are packs of coyotes as will as wolves. the wolf call is very different . I think more chilling. I, consider myself an outdoors person.( not so much now because will we get older .) But , hey i could hunt . Old Ed Aldler nicknamed me Eagle eye ! Ed and his wife and I would see who shout the most partridge each day . I will tell the truth they always got more. Ya, he would go at dusk and drive down every dirt road at the speed of 2 miles an hr. I miss them, I miss the partridge too. Anyway I realise all animals must eat to survive, and some must KiLL. this will thin out the weak ,sick or lame. NO BRAINER....That how nature works. At this present time March. I witness the Does female deer carrying there young inside her, her yearling still beside her depending on Mom to teach and protect . If Mom dont make it through . Thats 3 deer that cant carry on to multiply the herd. With the coyote and wolves in the area increasing in numbers. Because snow so deep the deer are helpless when ran off trial. The point is with an over population of any predator is seriously dangerous. Coyotes, Wolves . Wolves are canine carnivores, fierce,cruel,with instinct to kill . They will not let up on prey until they devour it. When in your area beware! HARD FACTS: Coyotes and Wolves have Attacked and killed domestic dogs. Coyotes and wolves have attacked and taken human babies and young children from sandboxes, yards,etc. FACT: Deer dont kill . Deer dont come in your yard to kill and eat your children. They wont even eat YOU!!! They mitt take a bite out of your scrubs or garden? GOD gave us Humans power of thought,reason,intelligence,and to precede . COULD WE GET SOME BALANCE HERE?
