DEERFIELD — A Northfield woman has been arrested on charges of driving under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and other charges after she drove her car through the front of Jerry’s Place restaurant in South Deerfield early Thursday Morning. Kristy N. Lake, of 178 Old Vernon Road in Northfield, was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries and arrested by the Deerfield Police Department. Lake was also charged with failure to inspect a motor vehicle and failure to stop for a stop sign. The crash occurred just before 6 a.m. and two patrons that had been sitting at the counter of the restaurant also suffered minor injuries.
