DELIVERANCE FROM DESTINY ALTERING NAMES & PROPHECIES. Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested. (1 Chronicles 4:9, 10 NKJV) A name is a prophetic declaration of who a person , A name influence to large extent what happens in the life of a person. Each time some one call the name of someone he is making a public confession of who you are. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21 NKJV) Jabez though being a honorable man among all his brethren was going through sorrows, having sorrows, and causing sorrows where ever he went because of the name. The Genesis of all the sorrows was his name. God had to change Abrams name to Abraham because God knew that the name was going to influence the destiny of Abraham. “As for Me, behold, My covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.
