DELTA POLITICAL DYNASTY IN THE MAKING .. Your Vote Is Your Power When you cast your vote based on sentiments, you will vote the wrong people into office. Right now some states across the country are crying over the election that brought some state government into power. They come with all sorts of promises which they dont intend to fulfill , so we must be wise in selecting those who we entrust with governance. Not people who are ready to promise you gold and you never get pebbles at the end . They come as saints with religion nonsense .Do not forget that the most cruel crimes of which history has record have been committed under the cover of religion or equally noble motives. Ours is becoming a state of political dynasty that is controlled by supervillain. For our self serving interest we anoints and impose candidates , political illiterates against the Peoples Wishes .In a democracy, people are the ultimate decision-makers. Any party or governor cant take decisions against the peoples will. If they do so, people will declare a holiday (on such parties and governor ). That is the beauty of the democracy. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. The time to act is now. Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable. Today our youths are kidnapping us for ransom. Militancy is everywhere. We buy armoured cars, helicopters and private jets, use armed escorts with siren blaring recklessly and imprison ourselves in our fortresses to escape our angry youths. The political and business elite who can afford all these deceive themselves. The streets of history are littered with failed federations. We deceive ourselves when we think that the Arab spring is impossible in Nigeria. The thresh-hold for human endurance without hope, particularly among the youths, is very limited and reactions and chain reactions could be unpredictable. Friends promise you will not vote for the wrong person in office . Are we willing to side with those who have greater political ideals to ours for a greater cause? Are we willing to replace bad leadership?
