DELTA STATE PDP CHIEFTAINS AND TOP TECHNOCRATS ARE IN AGBOR FOR SIR TONY OBUHS RETIREMENT CHURCH THANKSGIVING SERVICE. By: Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe. Agbor Town in Delta North Senatorial District will be the political Jerusalem today as top politicians, PDP party faithful, top technocrats and senior government officials including; Chief Ighoyota Amori (The ODIDIMADI of Delta Central Politics), Chief Ayiri Emami (The Delta Political Akulagba and Convener of Delta United 4 Tony Obuh), Hon Monday Igbuya (Majority Leader of Delta State House of Assembly), Chief (Mrs) Faith Majemite (The Oniemor of Agbon Kingdom and Delta United 4 Tony Obuh), Chief Emma Ejiofor (The political tactician and Prime Minister of Ubulu Uku) are on ground with other party leaders and elders to grace the special retirement thanksgiving of Delta PDP Principal Guber Aspirant, Sir Anthony Chuks Obuh. Sir Obuh, a devoted Christian of the Catholic faith, is right now at the St John The Catholic Church, Agbor, thanking God for giving him the grace, protection and wisdom to serve Delta State for 32 years without blemish. He retired compulsorily recently as required by law to enable him pursue is laudable 2015 Delta State Governorship ambition under the political big umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Sir Obuh who flagged-off his PDP LGA party executives consultation earlier in the week told newsmen that his government will be all inclusive so as to effectively serve the good people of Delta State. Hear him: I hate concepts like tribalim, nepotism, ethnicity and mediocrity because they the very enemies of socio-economic and political advancement of our society today which is why I will deliberately constitute an all inclusive goverment that will essentially promote and strenthen the unity, peace, love and progress of Delta State My 32 years as a senior technocrat and as Permanent Secretary for eight years exposed me into the inner workings of government and political engineering. I have also said that my brothers and sisters in Delta Central will enjoy a greater working relationship with government in terms of political appointments, youth and women empowerment as well as strategic overall development of the state when I become Governor in 2015. My friends and those who have worked with me during my years of service can testify to my good moral character and pedigree as a highly detribalised civil servant. I guarantee the good people of Delta State good and creditable governance anchored on transparency, accountability, equity and justice I will achieve my vision of participatory governance through regular town hall meetings across the three senatorial districts such that inputs and feebacks from the people are processed and becomes policies and action plans for effective spread of dividend of democracy. Some people are saying that I am being sponsored by certain people in government. This is not true. At my age and wealth of experience in public administration I know what I want, what is good and what is bad. I prayed about my ambition to govern Delta State and I am convinced from the depth of my spirit that God will take me to Government House in 2015.
