DELTA update- We flew home today- boarded early, told flight attendants about severe peanut allergy- they were fantastic- immediately replied they would not be serving any peanuts/nuts due to my sons allergy. They made two announcements- one before take off and one while in the air- that no peanuts or nuts would be served and to not eat peanuts on this flight due to a passengers severe peanut allergy. I heard the man seated directly behind my son ask the flight attendant for peanuts and she said this is a peanut free flight- would you like pretzels?. I guess they do serve peanuts when there are no peanut allergic passengers but I am thrilled because this is the only time in the last seven years we have been dealing with this that an airline has made the no peanut announcement, first time we have ever flown Delta. They will be my first choice airline moving forward.
