DEMBARE WILL NOT ENGAGE RECYCLED COACHES HARARE - Dynamos chairman Kenny Mubaiwa says the club will soon flight newspaper adverts in search for a new coach to replace Calisto Pasuwa, but will avoid appointing those who have been discarded elsewhere. Pasuwa announced his departure from the record Zimbabwean champions after guiding the Glamour Boys to a fourth straight league title last week. The revered coach’s contract expires at the end of the month, but says he will decline a new offer, in a move seen as protest over the manner he has been occasionally treated by the club’s executive. The club seems to be moving forward too. “It feels good winning another cup,” Mubaiwa said. “Our challenge now is to look for a new head coach. For now we have not engaged anyone. In fact, what we are going to do is we will place an advert in the newspapers. “We will then shortlist from those who would have applied for the post. We want to avoid a situation where we recycle coaches from one club to the next. If possible we would engage a foreign coach. “We hope to appoint the new coach at the beginning of next year so that he can have enough time to prepare for the new season.” If the Glamour Boys open up the post to other candidates, there is likely to be plenty of interest in what is seen as one of the highest-profile jobs in local football.
