DENNIS UPDATE- 12/20/14- laundry day this morning and a short walk (2.2 miles) into the hills this afternoon. another outstanding weather day- best overall weather ive had on a trip since the first year i retired, 2001. now its time to psych up for tomorrows 4 hour horse adventure into the canyon, with the guide saying it will be heart throbbing--something about a trail with a 30 drop off to the side. either its hype or REALLY heart throbbing, since i have no love for looking over a cliff, especially if im leaving it all up to the horse to make all the right moves. and of course, you sign your life away before leaving. so gail, im doing this for sammy! the last time i thought a trip was hyped was for first time i went white water rafting. it was on the arkansas river in salida, colorado and they had this video rolling in the office where you booked the trip. wanda and i decided this couldnt possibly be that crazy , so she had us seated in the front of the raft. the first white water took the front lip of the raft and folded it back in our faces and a guy sitting near the rear, fell out into the seething, very cold white water--- NO HYPE-THE REAL DEAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
