DESTINY DISCOVERY (Ephesians 4:7-13) Destiny is defined as power believed to control event or fate. it is that God will power that direct or reveal to us what we are created to be of which if we neglect to find Gods will, or plans or to discern His guidance, we risk great lose in every aspect of our life and much of our eternal reward. The necessity of knowing our destiny: it is very important that we know our destiny which will in no doubt help us operate in the area God want us to be and which will necessitate us being fulfilled in life. If we properly wait on God who will teach us spiritual lesson because God works not only through us but more important in us. And prayer helps us grow in grace, faith and Christ likeness with the growth in grace, faith etc. it will help us discover our destiny for the fact that God has important and blessed purpose to fulfill, waiting on God places us in His school of grace and we become a better disciples as we wait. Therefore the necessity of destiny is discovering through grace what we are destined to be and adhere to it for a fulfilled life. working against our destiny: In the book of Isaiah 48:12, the lord said, I am the lord your god, who teaches you what is best for you, who direct you in the way you should go and proverb 3:3-6 says lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him (god) and he will direct your plans, we may be working against our destiny when we do things which seems to be copyright, imitating others instead of us finding our divine plans on what gods wants us to be, maybe we are destined to be lawyer but for the fact that Mr. A who is medical doctor excelled in his career, you intend to copy him, probably dabble into medical field and will not be fulfilled or make headway, reason is because we are not destined to be a medical practitioners, we need not to imprison ourselves by trying to be like someone else, we may love what someone else is doing or we may be encourage or challenged by someone else result: but do not imitate them and do not be intimidated by another’s result, always discover our uniqueness, for until we know what is in us, we may die an imitation just as Ephesians 4:1 said we should walk worthy of the vocation where with we are called. Until we discover our destiny, we will be wondering from one vocation to other and we will not be fulfilled in life. How to discover our destiny: There is the saying that after discovering comes development. Develop the potential needed to fulfill your dreams. The making of a celebrated life takes a process, that process of discovering, preparation and manifestation gets dream fulfilled. Discovering our destiny need divine intervention, we should pray using Ephesians 1:18. That our eyes of understanding be enlightened, that we may know what is the hope of his calling and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. We must always wait on the Lord for His will to be done in our life by opening our spiritual mind to discover our destiny in life and fulfilled. So prayer is the key for the ultimate result. In concluding therefore, the calling of God is a dynamic thing. We must be willing to move with Him into any new sphere of work when and as He calls. If we have erred by working against our destiny, we must pray to Almighty God for divine intervention: otherwise, we will continue wandering from one vocation to another without being fulfilled and we know that God has a specific vocation for us, which means that our duty is to fulfill that, God really ordained us to our work, automatically we should see that we do fail Him by being copyright, thereby may God help us to discover our destiny, because it is not only foolish but dangerous to follow the reasoning of our limited intellects and the dictates of our emotions alone unless we are gripped by the conviction that Gods plan is indeed the best, we are not likely to be in earnest about seeking it and made shipwreck of our life by failing to seek the will of God right from our youth. May God help us to discover our destiny. Amen. Pastor Hillary Chigozie. NB: Like my Page if you havent done so to see more inspirational updates!
