DETROIT POLICE / FIRE RETIREES....BEWARE... Blue Cross / Blue Shield has screwed up my medical coverage - has it happened to you ????? Let me know... I signed up at a BC/BS seminar at the Double Tree Hotel, in Dearborn and got the GOLD PLAN... I didnt get my BC/BS card in time, after the February 28th insurance cut off date...so I contacted the agent who signed my up...he said BC/BS lost my paperwork and that they were Overwhelmed I called them, some how they lost your app, I sent it again you should here from them soon, need to pay as soon as you get the information, did you want dental and vison if so need your banking information to set it up , thanks rick, sorry again for there miss up they have been over whemled with all this obama issues...rick e. hayes... So I used my old LSA BC/BS card and told the doctors a new card was coming...Well I got a bill from BC/BS and paid it immediately, with a notation on the back of the check - . I then recieved a BC/BS medical card, issued dated, 03/2014...so I was set !!! Hold on...not so fast...a doctors office called and checked on my new card, and was told its effective date was April 1, 2014
