DEVELOPMENT QUESTION: How do you know you have the ability to connect with spirit and give messages? I believe we are all born with intuition and some have more of a sense than others. To see if you can connect with spirit there are a couple of ways. Practice working with your intuition to develop your sixth sense or your gut instincts. Like trying to pick when the light will go green, how many seconds. Trying to guess who is on the phone before you answer. Also working with your feelings. You can also start attending a meditation group to learn how to still the mind so you can sense when you feel a different energy around you. You can also go and learn an energy healing modality like Reiki or Pranic Healing. This will help you to learn the discipline mediumship requires along with developing your understanding about connecting with others to be in service. As Gordon Smith Medium says.....If you dont have compassion for others how can you read for them. First place to start is there...opening you heart and having compassion for others. Depending on your fortitude and cell structure we can all sit to develop with spirit the same amount of time but we will all learn at different rates. As much as it is about cells its also how much you can release your fears and doubts and open your spiritual self. The more personal development work you do the quicker you will develop. This is because the more you understanding yourself the more you understand spirit and what they want to convey; the message.
