DGI November First Friday Tonight! 5pm-8pm Honoring Our Veterans The GSCC Show Band will be performing inside the Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts as we salute our Veterans for November First Friday. Also at the Center, The City of Gadsden will be giving away a limited amount of hot dogs, chips, drinks! First come first serve. So make sure you stop by. While your there, you can also grab an American Flag. Downtown Gadsden, Inc. encourages everyone to wear their red, white and blue for the event and ask that anyone with a military vehicle park in the 500 block of Broad Street. Our great shops and boutiques will be open late for the event. Now is the perfect time to start checking items off your Christmas lists. Also make sure you take time to dine in our local restaurants, explore our local art galleries, enjoy live entertainment and discover all that is great about Downtown Gadsden. Food vendors will be in the 400 block and Classic Cars will be on display. So make sure to head down and check things out there! Starting around 4:00pm, Broad Street will be closed from 1st-7th. Gadsden Elks Lodge #1314 will be in front of BB&T with their Drug Awareness Wagon; a great opportunity for kids to gain knowledge and awareness of the dangers of drug use. Fun activities will be available for kids and they will be signing kids up, ages 8-13, for the hoop shoot that will take place in January. Shop, sip, eat, play and learn local in Historic Downtown Gadsden.
