DIAC have released their Proposed Visa Pricing Table for 1 July 2013 and have introduced the charging of a Visa Application Charge (VAC) for dependent applicants. Within the Temporary Work Skilled Stream, specifically the Subclass 457 visa, a VAC of $900 for the main applicant; $900 for each additional applicant 18 years and over; and $225 for each applicant under 18 years will apply from 1 July 2013. Within the Employer Sponsored and General Skilled Migration streams, a VAC of $1,530 for each additional applicant 18 years and over; and $765 for each applicant under 18 years will apply from 1 July 2013. The charge for the main applicant remains unchanged at $3,060. This is a significant increase in costs for applicants and sponsors.
