DIAGNOSIS!!!!! Follow-up appointment this morning with the Rheumatologist and the xrays showed deterioration and inflammation in my joints. FINALLY, something pointing to the answers! My wrists, fingers, and other joints were hot and swollen. He diagnosed me with early Rheumatoid Arthritis, started me on meds to help with the pain and inflammation, and will repeat the xrays in 6 months. PRAISE GOD!!! Yes, this isnt good to have on any level, but YES I am thankful to finally know what is wrong with me and have a treatment plan. Best part of all of this..I can run, swim, bike and strength train as long as my body is tolerating it! PRAISE GOD! The fever and lymph node swelling are from the RA and will be there as long as Im having flare-ups. So, guess where Ill be in the morning? SWIMMING LAPS!!! PRAISE GOD!!! For those wondering how Im doing now...there is a TON of pain involved, the fever is relentless and makes me lethargic, and its causing a lot of pain in my chest cavities while Im breathing. BUT....God is AMAZING and is giving me His strength to push through every single step. It hurt my wrists and shoulders while swimming, but God is working it all out. Im not a person that focuses on the problem, I focus on the victory. So I will proudly wear this thorn until Jesus takes it away. In the meantime, I will praise His Name throughout the journey.
