DID SOMEONE SAY SETTLED WEATHER? Yes, good evening! Well after morning showers, today turned out lovely as the cloud gave way to blue skies and light winds. And bar a couple of weak SW changes, that is the story for the next week at least. Yes, no rain, no showers, and maybe even a warmer NW flow come the start of next week. Tomorrow: Expect morning frosts, as the cold air that has been over us gets trapped under our ridge of high pressure. Winds will be light from the WSW with mostly clear skies and highs of 11deg. Friday: Again, morning frosts are on the cards as the cold air lingers. During the morning a NW winds will develop before quickly changing to a SW by mid afternoon. We dont expect much activity from this other than a noticeable drop in temperature. We highlight a 20-30% chance of a shower. Highs will touch 12deg before the wind change. The weekend is looking fantastic, with clear skies, light winds and morning frosts it really is a picture of a perfect period of winter weather. Highs will peak in the early teens with clear skies and light winds. Early next week is showing signs of much warmer temperature for this time of year... possibly touching 15-16deg at times. This thanks to a warm NW flow over the country. So, a very settled period of weather on the way, and great conditions for skiing and snow making for now... this time next week the dreaded NW winds will be wrecking havoc on our local fields.
