DID WE DO THIS? Advocating for the animals does not include mistreating the people at the facility where they are located. We should be encouraging them to share their charges so that they will not be in the position to have to euthanize. They are doing the best that they can with a bad situation. I am going to apologize to them. From Fort Stewart Pets: I want to take a second to clear some things up. This page is run entirely by two civilian employees at the vet clinic. It is not affiliated with the clinic itself, or the Army as a whole. We are simply attempting to make it better known that not only do we have a small stray facility on post, but publicize some of the animals in it. That being said, today has made us contemplate even keeping this page open. The personal attacks, demands, and angry phone calls WILL NOT be tolerated. My personal cell phone has been blowing up with literally HUNDREDS of messages, questions and comments a lot of which were rude and disrespectful, accusing myself and the clinic as a whole of murdering helpless animals I WILL NOT stand to be personally attacked, when what we are trying to do is help. The entire staff makes every effort to place these animals with homes or rescues, but anyone in the rescue world, knows that not every animal can be saved. We do the best we can. In addition, the DEMANDS for constant updates on information from this page will go unresponded to. I can not and will not risk my job, sitting on my phone to personally answer each and every (sometimes rude or angry) comment. If you are interested in an animal, contact the clinic directly or better yet, come down and meet them. Thank you for your understanding.
