DID YOU HEAR THE CRAZY THING SO-AND-SO SAID?????? When you disagree with someones theology there is a difference in relationally sharpening iron and exploitation. One is built on intimacy and the other on selfish validation. One makes a friend, the other makes a point. Intend to disagree with candor and from a heart of grace, preserving the other persons dignity. To go on public forums and joyfully expose another persons less honorable side is disingenious and unhealthy. Disingenious because everyone has a less honorable event that could be exploited. Unhealthy because our own neurochemistry will react leaving us feeling less intimate with those we long to be close to. Debate Scripture on public forums while prioritizing intimacy towards those you disagree with. There is no need to compromise truth, but there is a need to LOVE the people.
