DID YOU KNOW? Last year we re homed 165 cats, 12 dogs, 11 rabbits, 12 guinea pigs and 3 rats! That may not seem like a huge amount, but when you consider we only have 15 re-homing pods for cats, 4 kennels for dogs and a random selection of hutches and runs for the small furry ones, it isnt too bad. Compared to the previous year, our re-homing has INCREASED by 40%! Our team of staff and volunteers at the animal centre are working well and working hard for the animals in their care. Very well done to them. In addition to the re-homing, the branch has been also been working hard with the Thanet community. Last year we neutered 395 cats using the RSPCA South East Regional Mobile Neutering Clinic, busier than any other branch. Many, many thanks to Barbara Woodrough for her hard work. We have also been very busy with our Staffie neutering scheme, but figures arent in yet. Further promoting and encouraging responsible pet ownership, we micro-chipped 463 animals (435 of which were cats). We also helped a lot of other local pet owners with vital, emergency veterinary costs, though the exact figures are not in yet. Team RSPCA Thanet. Alive and kicking!
