DID YOU KNOW THAT ABOUT BERLIN: POOP IN THE CITY Here is a bit of statistics inspired by a short bike ride through the neighbourhood of Berlin-Kreuzberg. There are almost 95,000 registered dogs in Berlin. The actual number might be as high as 150,000 but is impossible to investigate. Regardless of how many dogs roam the streets of the city, one thing is certain: Berlin´s pavements are covered with 55 tonnes (!) of dog turds daily... If the German capital were to present a similar map as the one below created for the city of San Francisco some of the boroughs (like Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg) would also disappear under the heaps and heaps of brown dots.
