DIESEL MECHANIC Remuneration: All inclusive market related CTC (depends on experience) Location: SISHEN SITE (KATHU) Minimum Requirements: Grade12 Qualified artisan (red seal) 3 years relevant experience on Earthmoving Equipment Drivers licence - Code C KPA / Roles and Responsibilities: Maintains and service equipment in accordance with planned schedules. Repairs equipment as per scheduled work as derived from inspections. Ensures that equipment availability is equal to, or higher than the agreed-upon limits. Ensures that equipment is maintained within budget. Executes all work within projected and acceptable time standards. Do break down repairs as and when required. Regularly assess and inspect equipment and diagnose potential faults and arrange for repairs of faults. Ensures that the right spares are available as and when required. Informs supervisor of all defects found and spares required as well as down time estimate. Maintains and utilise company and personal tools correctly. Proactively assess any risk before performing any task. Clean up work area upon completion of job in order to comply with environmental standards. Identifies components causing excessive downtime and implement sustainable solutions. Test all equipment for functionality safety before returning to production. Informs control room on completion of work. Completes applicable administration. Performs all work in accordance with legal requirements, standards, operating procedure and safety rules and regulations. Ensure that artisan/assistant performs and conducts all work safely in accordance with legal requirements, standards operating procedure and safety rules and regulations.
