*** DIESEL NEEDS A NEW HOPE RESCUE TO MOVE TO SAFETY TONIGHT *** Poor DIESEL, 8 years old, and all of a sudden, his owner can’t care for him anymore! DIESEL did not react well to being left in a cage at Manhattan ACC and during the few short days that he’s been there, ACC has decided to put him on tomorrow’s euthanasia list and make him New Hope Only. Truth be told, its hard to know the real DIESEL under these awful conditions. He hates being in a cage, has never been walked on a leash though he’s housebroken and walked at least 2x a day. Clearly this dog is lost and scared and confused at this awful turn of events. Tonight, DIESEL needs a very special experienced dog owner who will know how to handle this 31 lb boy and show him that life can be so much easier and more comfortable with a few rules and can show him that he’s worth something to someone. If one reads his behavioral eval carefully, the real DIESEL peeks thru—the DIESEL who is not on the “I’m fighting for my life” mode. If you’re that dog savvy person who can see beyond the tough guy image DIESEL’s trying to show, then start working with a rescue to foster or adopt him. But act quick—ACC wrote him off from day one and now on day 3, they won’t hesitate to make him gone forever.
