This little bear is desperate for direct adoption from Queanbeyan Pound: No.874 ‘Bear’ female GSD/Husky x approx. 8 months old – due 27 December Found in front pens In the cage – friendly and keen to get out Handling – happy and comfortable being handled Health – in season, coat full of burrs Guide and place – very easy to guide into a sit and drop Dog to dog – jumped into a couple of other dog’s yard. Friendly with these dogs Correction on lead – was distracted at first but did start to respond Training – knows sit Comments: Bear is a beautiful dog inside and out! We were told she’s quite anxious and a little neurotic but we didn’t see any signs of that during the test. She has been kept in her pen which has been stressful for her but she’s jumping over the pound’s fences so can’t be allowed in the outside yards. We found her to be friendly and affectionate as well quite calm for such a young dog and especially because she’s been penned up! She has a good nature and loves to do the head tilt when you talk to her in a silly voice! She’ll need a very secure yard but fences taller than 6’ and probably another dog for company.
