DISAPPEARANCES Ayah Paul Abine and other Southern Cameroons’ leaders went out today to know what it would take to secure the release of Oben Maxwell who was picked up several weeks ago ahead of the safari to Buea by the Camerounese President. They gathered that on the eve of the fiction called the 50th anniversary of Reunification, Oben Maxwell was called up by the superintendent of Buea Central Prison; and that by 4 AM on February 20, 2014, some unknown persons took him away from the superintendent’s office to an unknown destination. In the absence of the said superintendent today, being a non-working day, the Southern Cameroons’ leaders could not cross-check the information. But some prisoners and even anonymous warders opined that Oben Maxwell may have been taken to some undisclosed location in Yaounde. Ayah and his team have promised to confront the superintendent on Monday, March 3, for clarification on the victim’s whereabouts. To be continued! Southern Cameroons na soso suffer!
