DISCIPLESHIP TONIGHT- GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM TONIGHT WE DEFINED OUR LIVES BY GODS WORD ON THE KINGDOM: Started with the testimony of a sister who used the truth of Gods word taught to change situations. She said tonight at the meeting; I even use these truths to determine when I should have class or not during the week and I discovered I could actually through Gods power change situations to my favour. And one lecturer that gave me an E grade apologized saying I got a B grade. Praise God! The Gospel of the Kingdom is the totality of the Gospel...we change address, power is bestowed and everlasting message(Rev. 14:6) is what we carry. Right from Genesis 4 &5 God established the foundation for the Kingdom. We have both authority and power. The Kingdom is the overarching cover that cause changes to come for us, to us and through us. The Gospel always is focused on salvation. Jesus came to save. We are saved from the penalty of sin, we are being saved from the practice of sin and shall be saved from the presence of sin when Christ returns. In the Gospel of the Kingdom- God initiates and executes our salvation and our holy living is the prove/ our attempt to lay hold of that which already Holds us(Phil.3:12). Christ alone saves us and we live only for Him not for sin or the world.Our three enemies loose- satan looses, the flesh looses, and the world cant hold us down. Amen! When then is the Gospel?The Gospel is the history of Gods intervention to save man and its essence or its pinnacle is defined by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible says in Galatians 1:6-9 that there can no other Gospel but it can be distorted. The distortion is seen by its focus. Only The gospel focuses on Salvation in Christ finished work, every distorted gospel ends with 1. Human effort. 2. Human disregard for Gods righteous living 3. Self justification-denial of what grace bestows by faith. .... Gospel of grace, Gospel of Christ. Pauls gospel etc are all fragments on one beautiful revelation of Gods saving good news manifested in Jesus Christ. There are no unsaved people in the World; only lost people. The opposite of saved is not unsaved but lost and Christ came through the Gospel of the Kingdom to seek and save that which was lost. and many more did Gods word unfold tonight. Tonight was powerful as we lay hands praying and prophesying Gods truth unto peoples lives. Next meeting on the 25th October, 2014.Shalom!
