DISCLAIMER BY ANIMAL REHOMING TABLELANDS MANAGEMENT :::: Following the publication of a rumour concerning an alleged raid on a dog fighting ring in Mareeba recently, it’s come to our attention that some people may think that Animal Rehoming Tablelands (ART) is involved. It’s important to us that the public understand that we have no knowledge of, or involvement, in either the alleged raid or the spreading of the rumour. The person who started this rumour is not associated with Animal Rehoming Tablelands although she is involved in animal rescue and named her group Animal Rescue Tablelands to enable the use of the acronym ART. Animal Rehoming Tablelands team are very sorry to hear of the numerous people that have lost their pets and have now had their hopes raised for a good outcome for their possible return. This is most distressing and I’d like to reassure everyone that the relevant authorities such as police, NARGA and RSPCA have been contacted and are investigating the allegations. We appeal to everyone . .. Please don’t turn your backs on rescue groups or rescued pets because of this incident. There are so many unwanted and abandoned fur kids waiting for forever homes that are being cared for by dedicated teams of foster carers and volunteers that need your support. Please don’t let one misguided person spoil their chances.
