DISCO SPOTLIGHT: “Maybe My Luck Has Changed”, “Sacrifice” by Daniele Patucci (1977) CAM Records (Italy) 1977 Produced by Daniele Patucci Daniele Patucci is a composer and producer who has recreated movements from John Barry’s soundtrack to the 1976 remake of “King Kong”. The soundtrack is one of the most beautiful compositions from Barry – besides “The Deep” (with Donna Summer). Two segments: “Maybe My Luck Has Changed” used in the film during the Jessica Lange montage – and “Sacrifice”. Very similar to the Love Unlimited Orchestra production from Barry White – but with an angelic chorus which creates a whole new dance fantasy! Thanks to Paul Conway for bringing this new favorite to my attention!
