DISCUSSION OF THE DAY: Uber Head of Global Safety Philip Cardenas - TopicsExpress

DISCUSSION OF THE DAY: Uber Head of Global Safety Philip Cardenas published a post laying out the company’s “roadmap” toward improving safety over the next year. The report comes after an internal review performed by the company’s safety team and the recent rape of an Uber passenger by her driver in New Delhi. This safety report also comes out after a Uber driver in Boston stands accused of raping a passenger. What do you think? Is Uber on the right track or is it too little too late? What should Uber really do to truly improve their safety record or is any effort going to be hamstrung by the misogynist view held by some of their senior management that has recently come to light? As usual, please keep all comments clean, civil, and constructive.
