Be aware that getting acclimated to a new group and its rules, which can sometimes be ambiguous, might reveal that its not a good fit. Its nothing personal. It just means its not a good fit. Honestly...that is all it means. Thats it. I was actively solicited to join a group 6 days ago. I was so honored that I jumped right into a contest being held over the weekend. It was a nice diversion after my long and stressful work week. These were my 1st and 2nd entrys for the challenge, which was to build a tree tank using only 5 specific DECOs. My first entry was disqualified for using the wrong Cherry Blossom deco with falling petals. The very same deco that was used by several other contestants who had entered before me, but werent notified it was the wrong one. I was delighted to learn there are TWO Cherry Blossom decorations in the store. I managed to redesign my entry using the correct Cherry Blossom deco before the deadline. However this entry was disqualified as well, but this time it was after the contest closed. I again broke rules by not completing ALL required items upon joining this group, i.e., reading and agreeing to ALL docs, friending ALL admins, but mostly by not DONATING a high dollar premium for the month before entering ANY contest. Which I would have GLADLY completed had this been brought to my attention as expeditiously as my using the wrong Cherry Blossom deco was. Especially when a newcomer enters a contest. Ultimately there were many beautiful entries and while my two were inevitably disqualified, I am still very proud of my final design. After overcoming the stress of it all, I enjoyed the challenge immensely and would like to thank those who gave me the opportunity to participate. For the time being though, I need to refrain from joining any new groups for awhile. My cup simply overfloweth... ;) Thank you all for allowing me to splash in my cups puddle for a bit.
