DIY BED CANOPY~ Bed canopies can create a elegance in any room. Re-purpose and recycle items you may already have! Old chandeliers, crown molding, light weight plaster lighting fixtures, curtains. Pic 1: Wall Canopy. Old round over sized plaster light fixtures can be used...anything in any shape you want really...I like round. Fastened to the wall create your flowing masterpiece. Pic 2: Full ceiling canopy.....Ornate crown molding or base boards are used to make the housing, fabric or re-purposed curtains are hung and stapled. Pic 3: The childrens room can be done with plywood. Make a plywood shadow box and adhere your fabric to it with a staple gun! Pic 4: 4 posted bed? Grab some curtains or sheer material and make those columns stand out!
