DO YOU BELIEVE THAT SATAN WAS IN HEAVEN WHEN HE REBELLED AGAINST GOD? I HAVE READ A STUDY ON THIS AND AM JUST GOING TO GIVE YOU A FEW HIGHLIGHTS OF WHAT I GOT OUT OF IT. I HOPE YOU FIND IT INTERESTING, I DID. EZEKIEL 28:12-19 IS THE ACCOUNT OF LUCIFER AS GOD DESCRIBES HIM. IN VERSE 12 GOD IS SAYING TO EZEKIEL TO TAKE UP A LAMENTATION ON THE KING OF TYRUS. I THINK IT IS NOT TALKING ABOUT THE PHYSICAL KING OF TYRUS BUT OF SATAN WHO WAS BEHIND HIM. IT SEEMS TO BE AN INSIGHT INTO THE FALL OF LUCIFER BECAUSE VERSE 13 SAYS HE HAD BEEN IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN. THE KING OF TYRUS CERTAINLY HADNT BEEN IN THE GARDEN BECAUSE GOD PUT ANGELS THERE TO KEEP EVERYONE OUT. LETS LOOK AT WHAT GOD SAID ABOUT LUCIFER. I WILL LEAVE OUT THE VERSE NUMBERS BUT IF YOU WANT TO READ IT ALL, GET YOUR BIBLE AND READ THE WHOLE 28TH CHAPTER. NOW WHAT GOD SAID: Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. HE WAS GODS PERFECT CREATION AND LOOK WHAT PRIDE DID TO HIM. IT SAYS HE HAD TABRETS (WHATEVER THAT IS) AND PIPES IN HIM AND SOME THINK THIS IS MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS AND IF SO, LUCIFER MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE WORSHIP LEADER AMONG THE ANGELS. NOW LETS TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT HIM AFTER HIS FALL: By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more. I BELIEVE GOD WAS A LITTLE BIT ANGRY WITH HIM. THIS BRINGS ME TO THE LAST POINT I WANT TO MAKE. I BELIEVE LUCIFER WAS IN THE GARDEN TO SERVE ADAM AND EVE. I BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS WHEN HE BECAME PRIDEFUL. WHY WOULD GOD HAVE PUT HIM THERE BEFORE HIS FALL. IT WOULD BE LIKE PUTTING YOUR CHILD IN A CAGE WITH A LION. I DONT BELIEVE GOD WOULD HAVE DONE THIS. ONE MORE THROUGH. LOOK WHAT ISAIAH SAYS ABOUT LUCIFER IN CHAPTER 14, 12-15: How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. THE WRONG KIND OF PRIDE IS A TERRIBLE THING.
