DO YOU REALIZE THE DANGER IN THIS? What is the context? Although they disagree on some issues the Pope and Obama discuss what they have in common about helping the poor. What do they have in common as world leaders? The Poor? Oh really? Everyone wishes there was no poverty, so there is nothing uncommon about that. So, lets see what they have in common about the poor other than being world leaders. Obama is a naked Marxist, and Marxism impoverishes the poor as history proves, so he is not trying to help the poor. All he is, like so many others before him, is an oligarch dictator who wants to serve up the wealth of the many to the few in power to do with it as they wish. If the Holy Father does not espouse Marxists ideas, like so many Jesuits in South American do, then he must make the distinction between himself and Obama when it comes to helping the poor with economics. If the Holy Father is UNWILLING to make that distinction then he has everything in common with Obama, at least in public perception and like it or not that is a very big deal. If the Holy Father DOES make the distinction then he has NOTHING in common with Obama when it comes to helping the poor and then the slight of hand in perception is revealed. Are we to be left with the understanding that they have the identical methodology of helping the poor. Sorry folks, but you cannot have it both ways. There is poverty of spirit in the Church, big time, and the Holy Father is telling priests what kinds of cars to drive. When is he going to tell them to hit on those small minded issues from the pulpit to steer the church back in the right direction?
