DOING GOOD TO PEOPLE IS A BIG PART OF JESUS MESSAGE People that think God does not care about doing good, ignore much of the NT. DOING GOOD IS called Righteousness. Our evil past sins require the need of a saviour Luke Jesus. But this does not negate that God downplays doing good. Acts 10 indicates it was Cornelius good deeds that caught Gods notice. Ephesians 2:1-4 talks about how wicked we used to live, enslaved to the prince of demons. vs 5 says by Grace we are saved. vs 8-9 says same and that it is a gift, unearned so that not one person can say it was because of me...but... vs 10 says that God saved us...so that we could be free to DO GOOD PREPARED AND PLAN WAY LONG AGO. 1 Peter 3:13 Who is going to harm you if you are EAGER to DO GOOD? Titus 2: 13 while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, EAGER to DO WHAT IS GOOD.
