DONATING CLOTHES TO THE PHILIPPINES? Lots of people want to drop off their old clothes to give to victims of Yolanda. Whist clothes are needed, they must be in good condition, practical (little dresses and vest tops are not advised for the girls in the evacuation centers for obvious reasons!) and they must be of a suitable for the climate of the Philippines (light but practical: Tshirts, shorts, flip-flops) . Clothing takes groups like the Red Cross a long time to sort through and right now time is of the essence abs-cbnnews/video/focus/11/12/13/what-not-give-relief-aid-red-cross In terms of relief efforts, what is needed most of all right NOW is Food, Water, Medicine- therefore a cash donation to a reputable organization is at this emergency stage the best way to reach the victims of the typhoon quickly at this crucial stage. So, for those of you that can spare some cash- thats the most efficient for relief aid for the situation right now. However- that being said, people are homeless, so sending relief aid items including practical quality clothing via drop off centers etc. will get there, and they will surely be put to good use! :) Another option is- join a local market near you and SELL your clothing! In Dubai at Safa Park we shall be selling clothing at the next market- December 7th. Its a few weeks away so still encourage to send your cash if you can! But if like us you have tons of jewelry and inappropriate (but fashionable) items, plus books etc. that would be much better sold and then converted into relief efforts- do join us! If you can come and help on the day, thatd be grand!! Would be lovely to have a group down there to promote the cause, sell, buy etc. Please check the link below to book your table and message us below if you would like to be involved! :-) dubai-fleamarket/
