DONATIONS GREATLY NEEDED. It is with heavy heart that we report today the tiny black and white guy (Remington) passed last night. This family came in highly infested with so many ticks and fleas (mama had to be completely shaved down just to get them off her) that they were literally sucking the life out of them. The pups were severely malnourished, anemic and fighting for their lives. Amanda managed to keep them alive on the way home from the shelter (they had only been there a few hours..dropped off by irresponsible owners) by stopping at the store to get kayro syrup to help with low blood sugars as the black and white guy was extremely lethargic and was lucky to make the car ride from shelter to the vet. They spent the day at the vet getting treatment (mama shaved down, wormed, ticks removed, all on fluids, meds for respiratory infection, etc) and last few days they seem to be doing better. Well yesterday the little guy crashed again. Without knowing just how bad it was they were brought to me and I gave fluids and sugars and both pups had WHITE gums still. So off to the vet again they went. This time antibiotic injections for the resp issues were given and we were to keep doing what we were doing with feeding/syringing sugars every couple hours, etc. Amanda also bought a humidifier last night and fluid was coming out of him last night...he passed shortly after. So today the black and tan guy (Zeus) is starting to crash...still super white gums so back to the vet they go again. This time to get on IV fluids again and likely have a blood transfusion too so were bringing mama this time as well. These puppies were dumped to DIE at the hell hole shelter!!! Whoever did this really needs to be prosecuted because although 99% of our animals come from the shelter, this severe neglect has us so infuriated I could scream!!!
