DONT ASK ME TO PRAY- God has taught me and my family many lessons, but none as difficult as the issue of divorce. There is no doubt that God forgives us sinners and divorce is no different than any other sin in one aspect; but in another way it is unique. You see; if children are involved, collateral damage kicks in, children are undeniably affected by this thing called divorce; no way out of it; it is just fact. What is important, is how the children are dealt with, how they are taught to understand the inexplicable. Oftentimes my friends on FB will share their hearts, their misery as they begin this heartbreaking trip through divorce and in their pain, their agony, and yes their bitterness, we their friends, are often called upon to pray that the courts will decide in their favor, that the spouse will be constrained or forbidden to carry out their God given responsibilites; their God given relationship with their child. DONT ASK ME TO PRAY for this!!!!! What I will do is this; I will pray that God intervenes with the courts on the behalf of the CHILDREN! I nor anyone else, knows the real truth about the broken relationship, but God does! God knows what is best for the child; so I will simply pray that Gods will is done in these situations. That ye do to the least of these!
