...DONT ASSUME, ASK The biggest assumption by our society is to judge people by what we perceive as wealth. When we see some one driving a brand new car, the 1st assumption is that, it is his. (S)He is living better now, (s)he is an achiever or important or rich or... We never wait to see may be (s)he is a driver, or (s) he driving a Co car or borrowed from... or heritage or gift or. On Sunday, few people jumped to a conclusion that the KZN gov wasted so much money for the funeral. Well guess what? You didnt ask the question: What did they really spend money on? People flew and drove from many corners on SA (with their proper money) to pay their last respect to their Hero. They used KZN toll gate and paid the money. They slept at KZN hotels, rented car and bought foods & other consumables including petrol. The KZN &Durban made money in accidental event. We dont know the level of discount or how much individuals contributed. We dont know what Orlando Pirates or PSL did on the day. We assume just because we saw a full Moses Mabida. How do people came to the conclude that the government spent money for this and we jump to the next question of wishing another star to depart so that we can compare. Comon people, get a life. I dont see a problem in asking the question Who is paying..? I would have an issue if the idea behind the question was to criticise without knowing the facts. In conclusion, DONT ASSUME.
