DPNM Executive Director Files Ethics Complaint against Rep. Sandra Jeff Potential tax fraud and duplicate reimbursements for same expenses raise ethics issue for write-in candidate DPNM Executive Director Jon Lipshutz filed a formal ethics complaint against Rep. Sandra Jeff with the New Mexico Secretary of State and is transmitting a copy to the NM Attorney General’s Office. “It appears that Rep. Jeff has actively sought and received reimbursements from the State of New Mexico and reimbursed herself from her campaign account for the same expenses, commonly known as ‘double-dipping’,” stated DPNM Executive Director Jon Lipshutz. “In addition, we believe that Rep. Jeff may have also committed tax fraud by reimbursing herself twice. There are three violations that are cited in this complaint that I am asking the Secretary of State and the Attorney General’s Office to investigate on behalf of New Mexico taxpayers,” Lipshutz added.
