DPP is on track before and after the release of our Malawi-centric Manifesto! We will lead again because we know we can lead. Let it be remembered that we are the party which, in 2004, turned this country from the economic depression of the UDF government. We are the people who turned Malawi into a world-class growing economy. We are the party that brought the fastest growing infrastructure development. We led the country to grow enough maize to feed ourselves. We are the party that gave Malawians a proper place in African leadership. If things turned the wrong way, we must always admit the precious lessons we have learnt. We will learn from the past, and as humans, we must always be honest with our past! If Bingu had been here, and may his soul rest in peace, he would have told us: “The past is for us to learn from, the present is for us to manage, and the future is for us to shape”.
