DPRK blames US for hours of Internet shutdown, calls Obama “monkey” The #DPRK has blamed the U.S. for the frequent Internet outages over the past week, with the most recent occurring last night and lasting several hours. youtu.be/S-LEpN98dxQ Members of the country’s National Defense Commission also say they #condemn the release of the Sony-produced #film “#TheInterview”, which features an enactment of Kim Jong-un’s death. The DPRK released a statement Thursday denouncing the film which it said hurts the dignity of leader #KimJungUn. The #NDC also called Obama reckless, while one spokesman likened the U.S. leader to “a monkey in a tropical forest.” Prior to the #films release #Sony came under a hacking attack that was blamed on the DPRK by the U.S. The DPRK denies the allegations. Meanwhile a California-based cyber-security firm called Norse says there is evidence that a company insider may be to blame for the cyber attack on Sony. The vice president of Norse said a former Sony employee identifying herself as Lena was a key player in the hack, and they believe she is linked to the hacking group Guardians of Peace, allegedly behind the attack. Norse said Lena’s position in Sony could give her access to the identities of the servers from which hackers would later steal massive data. -CCTV
