DRAFT DAY: A great sports film, showing that the action does not always happen on the field. Kevin Costner is great, so was Denis Leary as the coach, who kind of has a love/hate thing with Costner. Jennifer Garner is alright, though if feels like she is here just for her smile. Still a great film nonetheless, and the supporting cast are great also. There are parts of the movie I dont really understand though, like what is a pick and how can you call up an owner from another team and just make a deal over the phone (no email or fax confirmation?), so maybe if Chris Berman (who plays himself) could have explained how a NFL draft works, I might have better appreciation of the strategy used by Costners character.
